La tecnologia di stampa 3D DMLS permette di realizzare prototipi ed elementi funzionali direttamente in metallo.  In questa pagina puoi vedere tutte le caratteristiche del materiale.

Description

This material consists of a fine metal powder composed mainly of iron (66-70%), enriched with chromium (16-18%), nickel (11-14%) and molybdenum (2-3% ). The material offers strong corrosion resistance and is suitable for both technical applications in the mechanical, medical or engineering fields and for making watch or jewelry parts.

316L stainless steel printing is very accurate due to the fine coating resolution (30-40 µm) and laser precision. Unlike sintering with polymer powders, stainless steel printing by DMLS requires the addition of bases. The bases themselves are made from the same powder as the part and will be removed later.

Without any special finishing, the material exudes a granular and rough appearance. Compared with the other metals for 3D printing, steel is the one with the smoothest surface. Parts can be finished using for example welding or polishing.
