Acrylic (PMMA, methacrylate, also known by trade names like Plexiglas or Perspex) red mirrored
Description
What is it?
The acrylic mirror is obtained from a colorless acrylic sheet on which a thin metallic foil is applied on the back, which in turn is covered with a scratch-resistant protective layer.
The acrylic mirror reflects perfectly without distortions, this feature makes the material comparable to ordinary glass mirrors, but with the advantage of a much lower weight.
Examples of use
Decorative mirrors, external mirrors, adhesive mirrors, jewelry and decorations in general.
Gluing, joints and fixings.
Gluing, joints and fixings
It can be glued easily. Some adhesives suitable for acrylic, if applied on the backside, after some time can corrode the mirror sheet. It is possible to design three-dimensional objects with removable or permanent joints. It is also possible to use screws and bolts to join different parts in acrylic.
It can also be glued onto other materials.
