Stainless steel effect acrylic laminate.
Description
What is it?
A black acrylic laminate with a surface that exactly resembles the appearance of stainless steel. It is perfect for outdoor applications because it is UV resistant. lighter than steel, it is recommended for outdoor applications and as an alternative solution to metal.
On the reverse side, the material has a permanent thin adhesive film that allows it to be attached to metal, wood, glass, plastics, and wall surfaces.
This plastic tends to scratch easily. It can be cleaned with a mild solution of lukewarm water and dish soap. It must never be cleaned with other non-specific detergents or dry cloths (except microfiber)!
Notes for the design
The laser cutting On laminate tends to "burn" 0.3mm straddling the cutting line.
Details should not be smaller than 3mm, because they would become too brittle.
Only one degree of raste and vector etching is possible: the result will be black, superficial, like etching on blackened steel.
Files containing vector or raster engravings will be processed without protective film on the top surface of the material.
The rounded corners can reduce the risk of breakage compared to right angles.
Laminate sheets have a tolerance of +/-5% from the nominal thickness.
It is used for ...
Signage internal and external, wayfinding, badges, nameplates, awards
Gluing, joints and fixings
The back of the material has a permanent thin film that allows it to be glued to any type of substrate.
Can be glued with specific glues for plastics. Non-specific adhesives may deform or stain the surface.
