Year: 2022
Make Things Left Unsaid is the installation created by Vectorealism studio for Design Week 2022.
Throughout the week a new machine will be added to the FabLab's equipment. A machine built only from scraps of other tools and projects, capable of materializing a particular form of content production: digital junk.
Inspired by the link between physical and immaterial production on which our studio has been working for more than a decade, the installation focuses on the environmental impact of digital content production. Indeed, by 2050, digital will be responsible for 20% of the world's total CO2 emissions. In light of this, the installation therefore aims to give materiality to the production of symbolic waste generated by the constant flow of information, words, and symbols in the metaverse.
